Fence & Deck Staining
Transparent Fence Stain and protectant utilizes ultra-fine trans-oxide pigments to highlight the wood’s grain and other positive characteristics, and increase resistance to UV rays. The stain goes on easy in just one coat with no runs, drips, or back-brushing. It is often used on new cedar or redwood fences that have a lot of natural beauty to amplify, as well as for pre-stain facilities that choose to stain outdoor building materials prior to installation.
Semi-Transparent Fence Stain excels on aged structures that have to be cleaned prior to application, but also performs well on new wood surfaces, earning it “The Contractor’s Choice” stamp of approval. The stain’s unique pigment combination is formulated to act as a protectant against UV rays and provide better coverage overall in one easy coat with no runs or drips.
Semi Solid stains will cover slight imperfections in your wood and work great on older, worn or aged fences. Created with an opaque pigmentation system our Semi Solid stains will withstand the sun’s harmful UV rays, shed water, and withstand severe abuse while maintaining their color for years.

Decks are a high traffic area and as such require protection. See below how our team makes the stain and seal process easy from start to finish.
- Intro phone consultation to determine needs and explain the process you can expect
- Personalized plan and recommendations
- Site visit to determine condition of deck, take appropriate measurements, before photos, and obtain additional information not captured during initial call.
- Deck cleaning using a cleaning product with stain lifting ability. This will remove some lumber grade stamps from decking boards and will kill and remove organic growth such as algae, mold and mildew. Stripping of the decking may be required for neglected or previously stained/painted wood.
- Return after wood dries to stain deck after initial clean. Once wood has reached an acceptable moisture content, the stain is able to fully saturate the wood. We always back-brush along with add 2 coats of your chosen stain to ensure durability and uniformity.
- A final site visit 2-3 days post stain to check the quality of application and to answer any homeowner questions or concerns
